2027: Ebira Vonya Women Association Unveils Campaign Materials For Tinubu, Ododo

The Ebira Vonya Women Association in Lokoja, weekend unveiled campaign materials in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The colourful event, held at the Children Amusement Park, Lokoja, attracted hundreds of members of the association from across Kogi Central and Lokoja.

The materials were unveiled by the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, and Chairman of the Forum of Auditors-General of Local Government Councils in Nigeria. Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege ‘Fancy’.

Hon. Adabenege, while unveiling the banners, T-shirts, face caps and posters bearing the images of the leaders, commended the chairman and members of the association for what he described as a bold and timely initiative.

“I commend the leadership of Ebira Onya Association for this show of love and solidarity. This is a clear demonstration that Ebira people know where they stand. We are standing with President Tinubu, we are standing with Governor Ododo, and we are standing with our supreme leader, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello,” he said.

He described former Governor Yahaya Bello as the political leader who laid the foundation for the current peace and development in Kogi State, noting that the Association’s support for him as APC senatorial candidate is in order.

The President of the Association,
Hajiya Rukayat Ajoge, in her remarks, said the support for the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello was deliberate.

“Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is our supreme leader, our political father and our senatorial candidate under the platform of APC. We cannot talk about 2027 without talking about him. We are assuring him that Ebira Vonya Women Association is fully behind his ambition to represent Kogi Central in the Senate,” the chairman stated.

She added that the association believes Yahaya Bello’s experience as two-term governor and his closeness to the centre will bring more dividends of democracy to Kogi Central if elected as Senator.

According to her, the three leaders – Tinubu, Ododo and Bello – represent continuity, stability and progress for Kogi State.

The event was marked with Ebira cultural songs and dances, with members chanting solidarity songs for the APC.

The association offered prayers for President Tinubu, Governor Ododo and Alhaji Yahaya Bello and called on all Ebira sons and daughters to remain united ahead of 2027.
