KSM Idah Zone Rallies Behind Supreme Knight Adehi, Calls for Unity, Stronger Christian Service

The Idah Zone of the Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria has pledged support for the leadership of Supreme Knight Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, describing his emergence and service as an inspiration for greater unity, spiritual growth and commitment to the Catholic Church and humanity.

ABUJA — The Idah Zone of the Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria (KSM) has called for stronger unity, discipline and Christian service within the Order as it hosted the Worthy Supreme Knight, Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, KCSS, KSS, KSM, FCIArb (UK), in Abuja.

The Coordinator of the Idah Zone Hosting Committee, Sir John Yahaya Umah, made the call in his welcome address at the reception held in honour of Adehi, describing the occasion as historic and an opportunity to renew members’ commitment to the ideals of the Catholic Order.

Umah said Adehi’s leadership represented service, sacrifice, unity and commitment to the Church, adding that his visit provided an opportunity for members of the Idah Zone to demonstrate their support for his vision for KSM Nigeria.

According to him, effective leadership should be measured not by titles or positions but by the lives transformed, people inspired, values upheld and lasting legacies created.

He described Adehi as a leader whose vision, commitment and example had continued to inspire members of the Order to aspire to greater heights.

“Leadership, in its truest sense, is not about the title one bears; it is about the lives one touches, the people one inspires, the values one upholds, and the legacy one leaves behind,” Umah said.

He told the Supreme Knight that his visit went beyond an official engagement, describing it as a homecoming and an opportunity to strengthen fellowship among Knights and Ladies of the Idah Zone.

Umah said the gathering also demonstrated the enduring bond among members of the Order, stressing that the Knights of Saint Mulumba should be regarded as a family united by faith and committed to serving God, the Church and humanity.

“The Knights of Saint Mulumba is not merely an association of individuals. We are a family united by faith, strengthened by fellowship, and committed to the service of God, the Church and humanity,” he said.

The coordinator urged members to use the occasion to renew their determination to build an Order that is united, purposeful, disciplined, spiritually vibrant and faithful to the principles upon which it was founded.

He assured Adehi of the Idah Zone’s support, saying members recognised his sacrifices and appreciated his efforts towards strengthening the growth, development and unity of KSM Nigeria.

“Your leadership is appreciated. Your sacrifices are recognised. Your vision is valued. And your efforts towards strengthening the unity, growth and development of the Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria continue to inspire us,” Umah said.

He also expressed appreciation to priests, chaplains, traditional rulers, Knights, Ladies, guests, family members, friends and well-wishers who attended the reception.

Umah particularly commended members of the hosting committee and others who contributed through prayers, planning, financial resources, ideas, time and personal sacrifices to ensure the success of the event.

He said the reception should serve as a platform for strengthening the bond among members of the Idah Zone, deepening fellowship and encouraging greater dedication to the service of God and humanity.

“As we celebrate today, may we remember that the greatest measure of leadership is not how high one rises, but how many people are lifted along the way,” he added.

The coordinator prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance for Adehi as he leads the Knights of Saint Mulumba Nigeria.

The reception brought together clergy, traditional rulers, senior members of KSM and the Ladies of Saint Mulumba, dignitaries, family members, friends and well-wishers.

The event also provided an opportunity for the Idah Zone to reaffirm its commitment to the leadership of the Supreme Knight and its determination to promote unity, faith, fellowship and service within the Order.
