Engr. Adamu Isaiah Balat, MNSE, MNSChE, is an accomplished engineer, entrepreneur, project manager, philanthropist, and community development advocate whose career spans more than fifteen years across engineering, business, agriculture, construction, renewable energy, real estate, hospitality, education, and humanitarian service.
He is widely recognized for combining professional excellence with a deep commitment to community development and public service.
Born and raised in Kaduna State, Engr. Balat traces his roots to the communities of Southern Kaduna. His childhood was shaped by frequent visits to his ancestral village, where he experienced firsthand the values of hard work, unity, and communal living.
Growing up, he helped his grandfather tend goats, fetched water from village wells alongside his cousins, and participated in family farming activities. These formative experiences gave him a practical understanding of rural life and instilled in him a lifelong passion for community service, agriculture, and grassroots development.
Reflecting on those early years, he recalls a time when communities were peaceful, families lived in harmony, children moved freely without fear, and neighbours depended on one another for progress and security.
Those memories continue to inspire his vision of rebuilding stronger, safer, and more prosperous communities across Zangon Kataf and Jaba Federal Constituency.
Educational Background
Engr. Balat began his educational journey at Sacred Heart Primary School, Kaduna, before attending Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja, one of Nigeria’s foremost secondary schools known for academic excellence and leadership development.
While at Loyola Jesuit College, he participated in the prestigious Citizen and Leadership Training Programme (Man O’ War) at the Mountain School in Shere Hills, Jos, where he distinguished himself through exceptional leadership, discipline, teamwork, and service, earning the Badge of Outstanding Performance.
Driven by a passion for engineering and innovation, he proceeded to the United States to study at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, where he obtained:

Professional Career
Engr. Balat’s professional journey reflects a consistent record of technical competence, leadership, and innovation.
He began his career in the United States as a Research Engineer with AC Birox in Newark, New Jersey (2008–2010), where he participated in research and development focused on chemical detection technologies, environmental monitoring systems, industrial process control, and safety improvement solutions.
Following his return to Nigeria, he served during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a Business Development Officer at Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), working within the Planning, Budget and Monitoring Department.
There, he contributed to refinery planning, budgeting, performance management, cost analysis, and business development initiatives.
He subsequently became a Chemical Process Operator at the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (2012–2014), where he worked at the Linear Alkyl Benzene Plant.
His responsibilities included monitoring plant operations, maintaining process efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting operational excellence within one of Nigeria’s strategic industrial facilities.
Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership
In 2014, Engr. Balat founded and assumed leadership of CB Gora as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Under his leadership, the company has grown into a diversified enterprise involved in engineering consultancy, construction, renewable energy, infrastructure development, agriculture, and project management.
Through CB Finance & Properties Trust Limited, he has also gained extensive experience in property management, real estate investment, and asset administration.
His entrepreneurial interests extend to agriculture, where he has cultivated approximately 140 hectares of irrigated farmland, giving him firsthand knowledge of the realities confronting Nigerian farmers, agribusiness operators, and rural communities.
He has equally built experience in hospitality, retail, and customer service management through Rift Valley, further broadening his understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurs, small businesses, and the private sector.
His business experience across multiple industries has equipped him with practical solutions for economic growth, job creation, enterprise development, and sustainable investment.

As President of the Isaiah Balat Foundation since 2014, he has championed numerous initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, youth development, women empowerment, humanitarian support, and community development.
