Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said residents of Abuja cannot deny the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly in the area of infrastructure development.Presidential election coverage
Wike made the remark on Monday during his monthly media briefing in Abuja, where he urged residents and Nigerians to set aside political sentiments when assessing the performance of the current administration.
According to the minister, while the government may not have solved all the country’s challenges, its achievements in the Federal Capital Territory are evident.
“Is it really just because people want to say they don’t feel the impact of this government?
“I’m not saying the government has done everything, I’m not saying so. But if you are really a resident in Abuja, can you, in truth, say you don’t feel the impact of this government?
“Forget about your sentiment, forget about, oh, I want my village man to be President. If you really stay in Abuja, will you say this government has not made any impact in terms of infrastructure?” Wike said.
