North West governors won’t negotiate with bandits – Gov. Aliyu

‎Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has said governors in the North-West will not negotiate with bandits.

‎He spoke in Katsina State during the opening of a new road project, saying the region’s leaders are united in fighting insecurity and are investing heavily to tackle it.

‎“We will not negotiate with any criminal, nor will we accept any offer from them unless they surrender unconditionally,” he said.

‎Aliyu assured residents that state governments are working closely with security agencies to end banditry.

‎He also urged communities to help by reporting informants and suspicious movements.

‎“We must do the needful at the community level by remaining vigilant and monitoring the movement of suspicious individuals,” he added.
