Insecurity: Gov. Mutfwang holds high level security meeting to strengthen peaceful coexistence

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, has convened a high-level security meeting to strengthen peaceful co-existence and security across the state.

โ€ŽThe meeting, attended by heads of security agencies and local government chairmen, reviewed the security situation and developed strategies to prevent further breaches.

โ€Ž

โ€Žโ€œThe curfew has now been adjusted to run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and we have been directed to ensure strict compliance,โ€ said Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah.

โ€Žโ€œExisting restrictions, including bans on commercial motorcycles and regulated tricycle movements, remain in forceโ€, the CP added.

โ€ŽEwah warned that violators would face legal consequences.

โ€Ž

โ€Žโ€œAnyone arrested for violating the curfew will be prosecuted. Laws are meant to be obeyed; if you break them, you must face the consequences.โ€

โ€ŽAlso speaking, ALGON Chairman, Hamisu Mohammed Anani, said local governments are adopting tailored strategies to respond to security threats.

โ€Ž

โ€Žโ€œEach local government will develop strategies based on its peculiarities,โ€ he said.
