As he marks another years this Sunday, renowned humanitarian, business and entertainment strategist, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, is choosing to celebrate not with fanfare, but with purpose by empowering 100 widows in a heartfelt show of compassion and community spirit.
In an interview with this reporter, Amafibe revealed that the milestone celebration is a call to action rather than a personal indulgence.
“This Sunday is my birthday, and instead of throwing a lavish party, I want to use this moment to support 100 widows,” he said. “It’s a personal mission for me to give back and put smiles on the faces of women who have endured so much.”
Known for his consistent advocacy for social change, Amafibe emphasized the need for collective support to make the vision a reality.
“I need you to support me. Let’s come together and make a real difference in their lives,”he appealed. “It’s not just about me adding another year, it’s about using that moment to lift others.”
The empowerment programme will focus on providing essentials, small business support, and other practical interventions aimed at improving the lives of the selected widows.
“Widows are often forgotten in society, yet many are the backbone of their families. This initiative is my own little way of reminding them that they are seen, loved, and not alone,” Amafibe added.
As plans gear up for the Sunday event, Amafibe is calling on friends, colleagues, and well-meaning individuals to join hands with him in spreading hope.
“Please, let’s partner together to make this possible. Let’s turn my birthday into a gift for others,” he concluded.
