Kidnap: Nasarawa police rescue Ewuga hours after abduction

What played out like a drama,upon a report on the kidnapped of senator Solomon Ewuga,who was reported kidnapped at kurmin Shinkafa, Gudi,of Akwanga local government area enrout Abuja.

The Nasarawa police command has confirmed that after a sustained pressure from it operatives,the former Nasarawa State deputy governor, minister and senator ,Solomon Ewuga was rescued unhurt on Tuesday hours after his abduction.

When contacted,the police public relations officer of the Nasarawa State Police command lafia,ASP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the rescue of the elderstateman.

He said the former senator was on his way to Abuja and was kidnapped at about 20:40 hours,but due to mounted pressure by men of the Nigerian police force who were alerted on time,moved into the forest and rescued the senator.

The PPRO added that no arrest was made,but that the command is not relaxing over the matter to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book as investigations was ongoing.

However, it was gathered that the one of the senator’s aide is still in captivity.But the Nasarawa State Police command spokesman, ASP Ramhan Nansel ,said he was yet to be detailed on that” And as I speak with you, the CP Adesina Soyemi has ordered operative of the police to move into the forest for possible arrest of the criminals.
