FG’s Direct regular allocations kept operations,without intervention – MD/FMCkeffi

The Medical Director, Federal Medical Center Keffi,Dr Yahaya Baba Adamu,has said without any form of external interventions ,but solely depending on federal government direct regular support has largely been the success story in the center.

He made this known,on Tuesday with selected journalists in his office ,stating that amidst the economic and health challenges faced globally,the center on several attempt to access some external interventions has been unsuccessful.

Dr Baba Adamu,fielding questions from the journalist also posited that there is a cordial and harmonious working relationship between staff and the management team.

He also disclosed that what has helped in keeping the various departments in the center functioning has been a product of closed supervisor and monitoring ,which the board and federal ministry of health as the top management team share the credit.

“We have been able to work withiin our annual budget and adapting a prudent management of the resources available at our disposal.

“What we also do as a family having the support of both the federal government and that of the board as the pillar of our success in FMC Keffi,is that we agreed and come up with what is considered the best and focused on getting it done with all sense of responsibility in order to providing the needed services for our patients for easy access.

“So this has been our working formal ,supported by a judicious utilisation of the resources released to us annually” Dr Baba said.

Dr Yahaya Baba Adamu,added that there are a number of challenges and health gaps which needs to be filled with hope for any intervention, to better the state of facilities in the hospital,adding that the management look forward to such, especially that a new site along Abuja road need to be developed
