Insecurity: Women journalists seek God’s intervention

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has concluded arrangements to seek God’s intervention in the lingering security bedeviling the country.

President of the association, Comrade Lady Bala, made this known to newsmen in a statement at the just concluded NAWOJ CWC inaugural meeting held in Abuja.

“I called on all the great women in pen profession to organise a prayer session by the members in all the 36 states including FCT.”

The President said, going by the incessant acts by the Bandits, and Boko Haram that led to blood shed, kidnapping, is making the once peaceful country into an insecured nation.

She further stressed that the only thing resolved now is prayer for the much-needed peace in diversity.

According to Comrade Lady Bala, the prayer session which is expected to be held simultaneously on Tuesday, the 11th of this month, aimed at seeking God’s intervention to bring an end to the current crises, gruesome murders and kidnapping in the country.

“All the state chapters enjoined to invite other NGO’s to attend the prayer session, please, wear red to signify the blood shed. All the states in the zones are expected to comply and send in their prayer session.

“The theme of our prayer session to be held nationwide on Tuesday is “Oh God Heal our Land”, NAWOJ President added.
