Tottenham Hotspur captain, Harry Kane, has said he has no intention to return to play for Arsenal.
This follows attempts by Good Morning Britain host, Piers Morgan, to persuade Kane to rejoin the red half of north London.
The Spurs striker was on the show to encourage fans to wear a football shirt on Friday, to support the Bobby Moore Fund for cancer.
Before the 27-year-old moved to White Hart Lane some 16 years ago, he was actually on the books of Arsenal as a schoolboy, but the Gunners released him which prompted a move to their rivals.
“When you were a kid – as every Gunner knows – you were a proud Arsenal fan. What happened to you Harry Kane?” Morgan asked.
Kane replied: “Well, I played for Arsenal when I was younger and unfortunately for them, they let me go.
“So I’ve been at Tottenham since I was 11 years old and reaping the rewards of that now.”
Morgan pressed further and asked if he was “itching to get back to his roots”.
Kane’s response was emphatic, saying: “Absolutely not! No, we’re in a good spot at the moment, so I’m happy [at Spurs].”
