The Anglican Grammar School(AGS) Old Students Association (AGSOSA), 1982-1987 have come together as a team to foster the development of their school and help the under privileged.
The revelation was made known by the Public Relations Officer, Mr Henry David in a statement by the association’s and made available to newsmen in Abuja Yesterday
According to the statement, Dr Adeleye Olusegun, contestants in the last Ekiti State Gubernatorial Election of 2018 and a former teacher in the school made the reunion possible.
The statement said the old students wanted to use the union to help develop the school as a way of giving back to their alma mater.
Also the association would set up a cooperative that would attend to the needs of the underprivileged members and in extension the society.
The facilitator of the meeting, Mr Ademola Akindele said the coming together of the old students was in agreement with Federal Government Economic Recovery Growth Plan (ERGP).
Akindele said the reunion would enable members to tap into numerous developmental plans of President Muhammadu Buhari visions of alleviating poverty by targeting groups.
He used the occasion to enjoin the old students not to take the issue of reunion with levity as there was more to gain from it.
The statement listed clergymen, lawyers,doctors,accountants ,estate surveyors, pharmacists, lecturers, civil servants, events managers and captain of Industries as the AGS old students of 1982 -87 class in the meeting.
