Suspected Fulani hersdmen abduct two Persons, one escaped in Ughelli town in Delta

Suspected Fulani hersdmen Operating in Ughelli towns in Delta state in the early hours of Friday allegedly abducted two persons in the area while another escaped. Reports said that the Victims were abducted along Ovwor – Oguname Olomu in a Lexus 350 SUV Car and taken to an unknown destination while the third one escaped by whiskers. But the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya when Contacted, said she was not aware of the incident, and Promised to get back with details as at the time of this report. Eyewitness Umukoro James said that the abductors were brutal as they forced two their Victims into their waiting SUV 350 and drove into Unknown destination.

Unconfirmed Sources said that the two Victims are well known farmers in Ughelli South town, adding that their abduction may not be unconnected with the increasing crime rate in Ughelli towns. Meanwhile, a 37year old woman identified as Mrs Ujunwan Iwebunor on Thursday accused of Killing her husband after minor disagreement in Issele Uku Community near Asaba in Delta state.

It was gathered that the woman had gone to bed after the quarrel with her husband only to wake up neighbours at wee hours with an alarm that her husband had been murdered.but the brother of the deceased, One Henry Iwebunor alleged that his brother, Uzougbo Iwebunor, 45 years old,had gone to bed with his wife but he was Shocked to hear through his GSM phone that his brother had been allegedly murdered.

He noted that when he asked his wife what went wrong, she said that her husband suddenly woke up from sleep,hit his head with Iron before he slumped and died
Henry Iweabunor further alleged that evidence shown that the deceased was stabbed in between his shoulders and left side of his neck with a knife, adding that the woman may have mastmind the murder of his brother.

However, the Divisional Police Officer ( DPO) Issele Uku Police Division, DSP Lawal Muhammad Confirmed this incident, disclosing that the matter was transferred to the state Criminal Investigating Department for further investigation
