Kano State commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, has reiterated commitment to ensure effective and efficient service delivery in all public hospitals in the state.
Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa made the assertion when he paid an unscheduled supervision visit to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.
According to a press release by ministry’s information officer, Hadiza Namadi, the commissioner during the meeting, went round the hospital to ensure that everything was functioning and also made sure that patients were treated with the deserved care.
While going round, the Commissioner asked some of the patients at the hospital about their condition and how they were being treated by the health workers.
One of the patients, Mohammad Hassan from Gwale LGA, informed the commissioner that when he was brought to the hospital he could not stand or walk on his own, but that he is now able to walk without help of others because of the good care he was receiving from the hospital staff.
Another patient, Safara ‘u Kabir informed the commissioner that the health workers have been taking good care of her and that she was feeling better than when she was brought in.
Dr. Tsanyawa therefore commended the staff on how they handle patients in the hospital with dedication and professionalism.
