Oduke Community in Delta: Inside Community in 250 Years after in deplorable road network, Absence of Healthcare Centres, Messy robbery incidences

Oduke Community in Asaba intially known as Nimo camp originally owned by the people of Umuagu quarters in Asaba Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta state is in a complete mess 250years after without road network and absence of health care Centers for the well being of the people

With relatively peaceful coexistence of the People, Oduke Community starts from Benin Expressway down to more eleven other Communities within Asaba metropolis but Completely enveloped in pains in the absence of pipeborn water, electricity, health care services and good road network

Investigation revealed that before 2006, the Community allegedly harbours miscreants who were armed bandits including kidnappers who moved into the Community from the far Eastern states until few years after when indigenes of the community mobilized to eradicate the miscreants including the kidnappers, leaving the community freed from the evil activities.

With 15,000 population of people in the Community, Oduke Community is currently groping in the dark and in the absence of basic infrastructural with no reasons adduced But the Community leader, Christopher Okoh who spoke to Journalists in the area noted that before he emerged as the leader, he had fought like wounded lion to ensure that the roads were constructed, adding that virtually all the roads were turned into refuse dump and called on the state government to as a matter of urgency find a lasting solution to the menace, especially the poor road network

The huge tones and mghty heaps of refuse dump in the Commnity portends ingratitude on the part of the state government who allegedly don’t bothered about the development of the Community but the state Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye in a swift reaction said that the Community was never neglected, adding that poor development in the Community was allegedly informed by nonchalant activities of the indigenes towards the state government’s activities

During nighfall, the entire community is completely plunged into darkness with ominous signs of wide animals including reptiles while vehicular movements are restricted by the local Vigilante group members armed with local dane guns to ward off criminal activities including activities of hoodlums who often steal teenage Children during nighfall

Oduke Community residents are known for farming in pains as no means to convey their food items to Urban Cities for sale except through motorcycles and bicycles who charge them in outrageous manner
