By the rotational principle of Governance of Delta State, it is the turn of Delta Central senatorial district to produce the next Governor of the oil-rich state after Governor James Ibori (Central), Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan (South) and the current occupant, Sen. (DR) Ifeanyi Okowa of the North senatorial district respectively who would have completed the first circle of the rotational principle to give the three senatorial districts a balance share of political power.

Chief Gbagi who has embarked on his consultation visits to kingdoms under his Udu and Ughienwi axis said it better to start the race early in the day so that other aspirants would be well prepared of the challenges ahead of their ambition as well, saying he is very ready to face the opposition party candidate frontally when time comes with the support of all Deltans.

He said after completing the consultation visits of his Urhobo kingdoms he would then engage the good people of Delta South and North senatorial districts to complete the circle in this first round before the appropriate time for politicking, saying that “no one senatorial district can go it all alone as the state belongs to all of us”.

On the entourage of Olorogun Gbagi team to Jesse are prominent Urhobo PDP chieftains, professionals and other Deltans of note from across the state.

Olorogun Gbagi is a foundation member of the PDP in Delta State and a household name in the governorship race of the state with numerous thriving businesses in and around Warri and its environs, lagos, Abuja and abroad giving employment to countless number of jobless persons irrespective of tribe and political leanings. But insiders said Olorogun Gbagi might be wasting his time and money as the governorship candidate would emerged between Chief James Augoye, the present Commissioner for works, and Olorogun David Edevbie, Okowa’s Chief Of staff.
