Kogi State Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has called on all illegible voters in the country to come out enmass and vote in the Saturday rescheduled elections in the country.
The Deputy Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester urged Nigerians to be vigilant during the process and report any suspicious and violent act to the appropriate authority.
He said every Nigerian has the right to exercise his or her franchise while urging them not to bow to any intimidation but vote for the candidates of their choice.
The Deputy Governor further called on Kogites to vote wisely and protect their votes in the coming elections.
He urged them to resist any form of intimidation, votes buying and selling and report any electoral violation to the security agents.
Charging security agencies to work in line with their professional training, the Deputy Governor said the exercise is about Nigerians not an individual or group.
He also called on religious leaders to continue to pray for Nigeria and Kogi State in particular to avoid blood shed as proposed by enemies of the state.
The Deputy Governor asked voters to conduct themselves in orderly manner while praying for a peaceful and acceptable polls across the country.
