“I cried to God and God answered my prayer “. This was the testimony of the Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Elder Simon Achuba at the naming ceremony of his son, Master Simon Ojochide Oma Ojo Achuba in his official lodge in Lokoja today.
Elder Achuba said he prayed to God for the gift of a male child, stating that God in His infinite mercies, honoured him with a promising male child.
The Deputy Governor said no time is late for God to answer prayers, urging couples across the country who are looking for the fruit of the womb to expect their miracles at any time.
He further prayed God to keep and grant his son a fulfilled life, even as he asked God to give his family the strength to bring up the child in the fear of God.
The Deputy Governor thanked the participants at the event, especially members of the Knowledge of the Truth Ministries Lokoja for honouring the naming ceremony.
Speaking earlier, the Senior pastor of the Knowledge of the Truth Ministries Lokoja, Pastor Joshua Omada said name giving has special place in the scripture, praying God to conform the name given to the child with his destiny.
Pastor Omada, while saying that God can do all things, urged participants at the event to be strong in their prayers at all times.
He used the forum to pray for the marriage couples that are looking for the fruit of the womb, saying “God has answered their prayers “.
The naming ceremony was attended by top ranking politicians, head of Kogi State judiciary, civil servants, church members and others.
