Boko Haram, ISWA Planning To Disrupt Nigeria’s 2019 Polls


The Islamic insurgents, Boko Haram and iswa are planning to ensure the Nigeria 2019 general elections do not hold as planned by launching various attacks during the election, America has warned.

Drawing Nigeria government attention on the planned attacks, the American embassy on its website on Friday disclosed that Boko Haram members plan to launch attacks on security personnel, markets, hotels, and malls.

“ISIS West Africa (ISWA) and Boko Haram have both stated they plan to disrupt the upcoming 2019 presidential elections by conducting attacks on Nigerian Security and infrastructure, as well as places of gathering such as markets, hotels, and malls, US post reads.

The American government warned her citizens in Nigeria to be very conscious of their safety.

Nigeria is scheduled to hold her presidential and Federal Lawmakers elections on February 16 and the governorship and state assemblies on the 2nd day of March.
