Publicity Secretary Unemployed Youths Association of Nigeria, Comrade Pius Emomotimi, has called for huge investments in education to brighten the future of the younger generation and the country.

He made the plea during an interview with METRODAILY,in Abuja.

According to Comrade Pius,the whole Nigeria educational system need an over hauling, saying that the budgetary allocation for education is small and its not enough and the system is not properly educating the youths.

“Some of this youths have no education and if they’re not taken out of their environment they’ll become nuisance to the country,while other youths who are involved in cultism in Niger Delta it has become their way of life,they believed that involving in cultism will make them to be recognised by the politicians”.

Comrade Pius, “The perception out there is that even if you are educated you can’t be recognised and be relevance unless you become a thug, it is something that has become a holistical view of the political system in Nigeria”.

According to him, efforts must be made to encourage pupils and teachers in order to move the education sector forward and accelerate national growth and development.

Comrade, advised all tiers of government to see education as a priority and to do everything possible to prevent industrial action in the education sector. When you educate the youths you have educate a Nation, not only educating them but also empowering them by giving them employment. “We are expecting government to do more in terms of protecting life and property”.

He also advise the youths to shun violence and remained united for sustainable peace and development in the country.
