The cordinator of Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) Connect, for Okehi /Adavi Federal Constituency, Alh. Muktar Bajeh has described as laughable the lack of credible opposition by the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Kogi state, saying that their lies will not deter governor Bello from providing quality leadership to the citizens.

Reacting yesterday, to the statement credited to the PDP to the effect that the the governor will go to change after his tenure, the APC stalwart, said their ranting will not stop the ongoing probe by the Bello led administration by asking them to account for the billions of naira stolen by the failed administrations of PDP in the state.

According to Bajeh, “it is rather Shameful that a party which ruled the state for thirteen years with no record of any visible achievements will consider it comfortable to dole out lies to the citizenry

” Let them point to any serious project undertaken by that administration, other than the looting of the common wealth of the Kogi people. Money meant for projects and welfare of the people were brazenly stolen by these so PDP members.

“The only legacy they left behind are abandoned projects, arrears of salaries, over bloated wage bill, fraudulent inclusion of questionable characters into the staff list of the state and collection of loans to be share by them which this administration is trying to grapple with .

Speaking further, he said the people of Kogi state cannot be deceived again by the antics of the PDP and will surely vote against them come 2019.

According to him, the achievements of the governor in the areas of security of lives and property of the citizenry, massive infrastructural development, human capital development is already threatening the opposition, hence their reckless outburst .

The cordinator, noted that these are areas where the PDP failed the people and were shown the way out in 2015, saying that their propensity to steal will never allow them to get near power again.

He maintained that the popularity of Governor Yahaya Bello is on the rise daily, noting that such reckless talk from a party he described as ‘dead’ cannot make any difference.

Bajeh called on the people of Kogi state to continue to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello, so as to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
