Karaku, a former chairman of Okene LG for and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, has refuted reports that he has plan to decamp to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In an exclusive chat with inside Kogi, an online newspaper, on Monday, January 08, 2018, Alh. Karaku said he has not decamped to APC.
Asked why he was not reacting to news reports claiming his exit from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he said; “Why should I react to speculations? At no point did I confirm to anyone that I was decamping or have plan to decamp from PDP.”

Describing reactions to his alleged exit from the PDP as premature, he wondered why some of those reacting did not make any efforts to clarify with him before running to town to react to the news.
Sen. Ahmed Ogembe, a member of National Assembly, and also a chieftain of the PDP, said on Tuesday he is saddened by Karaku’s decision to join the APC.
In a statement, Sen. Ogembe said; “My brother Karaku’s decision to join the APC irks and saddens me. I say this because I have always loved him and I care. Despite the fact we had little differences over the party excos doesn’t warrant him to cross carpet.
“You cannot fight evil by joining it. You cannot bring light by entering the darkness. You cannot find joy by partaking in the bread of sorrows,” he maintained.
The inside kogi reported that the former chairman may have made up his mind to dump the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and pitch his political tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
