…Urges Youth To Embrace Technical Skills Acquisition

World Renowned Auto Designer and Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council, (NADDC), Mr. Jelani Aliyu (MFR), has been conferred with the Fellowship of Technology and Youth Development.

The honnour which was conferred on Aliyu recently by the Federal Polythenic Kebbi, Nigeria, is in recognition of the great strides the NADDC Director General has made in his chosen field, and for his technological contribution to the Nigeria, Africa and to the international community.

Federal Polythenic Birnin Kebbi is a Nigerian government tertiary education institution that is focused on enhancing and imparting advanced technological skills for Nigerians in order to drive the country’s industrialization and economy.

Speaking during the conferment, Aliyu said emphasis must be placed on the acquisition of technical skills and education by Nigeria, particularly the youths, so that the country can quickly move forward and join the leagues of highly developed and industrialized nations of the world.

He said the need to acquire technological skills by young Nigerians was imperative, considering that technical skills which are the drivers of today’s global economies are lifelong acquisitions that cannot be taken away by any economic situations.

He said it was for that reason that the NADDC has continually pushed for new initiatives that will create endless opportunities for Nigerians, particularly those that have the interest, talents and skills that can be harnessed and developed for the nations benefits.
