A Civil Society group, Peace and Anti-Corruption Advocacy has urged the Kano State House of Assembly to respect the rule of law by abiding with the Kano High Court ruling ordering its seven man committee investigating the bribery allegations against the Kano State Governor by the publisher of an online newspaper, Daily Nigerian.

In a press statement made available to journalists today by the national coordinator of the group, Comrade James Okoronkwo they noted that as a major arm of government, the Kano State House of Assembly is bound by the spirit and letters of the 1999 Constitution to comply with the Kano State High Court ruling saying ‘that impartial observers are worried by the partisanship of the Kano State House of Assembly in the whole bribery saga’.

Continuing, the group lamented that the so- called bribery video is a premeditated and orchestrated plot by Ganduje’s political enemies to smear him as he seeks re-election into the Kano State government house. Peace and Anti- Corruption Advocacy stated that Jaaffar Jaaffar, the publisher of the bribery video is a notorious blackmailer and known protégé of Senator Rabiu Kwankwanso noting that” His Excellency the Governor of Kano State did not collect , has not collected and will never collect bribe from anybody whosoever and for whatever purposes”.

Finally, the group urged the Kano State House of Assembly, the good people of Kano State and the general public to discountenance the bribery video clips as the mastermind has been found guilty of falsely accusing the former Governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and the Sarkin Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi 11.
