Following the massive fraud perpetrated by Hon Nze Chidi Duru, the former chairman of First Guarantee Pension Limited whose itchy fingers tampered with shareholders funds as well as the use of his siblings to defraud the public.
A pressure group, National Coalition against Corruption has chided the media for giving undue coverage to the disgraced pension funds administrator saying it is “it is sad that the media an acclaimed barometer and agenda- setter all over the world have been deployed to launder the image of a tainted man like Chidi Duru.
In a press release made available to news men recently by the National Coordinator of the group, Mallam Kabiru Mohammed, he lamented that many pensioners have been sent to the great beyond because of the nefarious activities of Nze Duru and his cohorts. The group appealed to the media to blacklist him and his partners in crime.
National Coalition Against Corruption lauded the judiciary and the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for rising to the occasion by prosecuting Nze Duru, urging it to expedite his trial.Furthermore, the National coordinator stated that it is “shocking that at this critical time that the anti-corruption war is raging in Nigeria, some unpatriotic people are supporting Nze Duru saying that sooner or later we’ll expose his (Nze Duru’s) pay masters.”
